Transformative maternity care that returns birth to women
Full midwifery care from conception to six weeks postnatal, grounded in physiology, relationship, and trust. Truly family centred, and bringing experience and evidence.
Hello, welcome! I’m Daisy
A midwife with over 20 years of hands-on experience walking alongside women through every stage of their maternity journey.
At Mama Sanctuary, I offer truly personalised and generous care, from pre conception, through pregnancy, birth and the postnatal period. Time is taken to ensure you feel safe, supported, and deeply heard. Our partnership ensures you are confident and empowered as you move through pregnancy, birth, and the beautiful transition into parenthood.
Midwifery is in my genes
My grandmother had been a midwife in pre-war London, and for as long as I can remember, I knew I would be a midwife too.
Since qualifying as a midwife in the West Midlands in 2007, I have worked in large London NHS Trusts, in all areas of maternity care giving me a diverse and rich expertise. I became the Lead Perinatal Mental Health Midwife at King’s College Hospital, focusing on women dealing with anxiety, depression, OCD, and other mental health challenges.
I’ve worked as a Consultant Midwife, helping women make informed choices, particularly when those choices fall outside typical clinical guidelines, and I’ve led a specialist team that provides care for women in vulnerable circumstances.
I am well known for supporting women to have births which transform them; which launch them into motherhood feeling powerful, capable and in charge.
The values at the heart of Mama Sanctuary
I know that women are the experts in themselves, and will instinctively do whats right for them and their baby. My role is to support, inform, and create space for women to tune into their own wisdom, confidence, and decision-making. This is facilitated through calm, unhurried appointments, giving evidence based information rooted in physiology, experience and research, not fear.

“The birth was a day where I felt my most powerful and most vulnerable, the most in control whilst simultaneously surrendering completely
In so many ways, I felt the most 'woman'. I can't begin to thank you enough for creating such a nurturing and safe environment and process. The birth was truly one of the best experiences of my life. As the card says, thank you for being such an important part of my story.
